After two days of sailing in the nice wind and weather conditions in front of Izola, Slovenia, our first MIPC Match Race is finished. We witnessed a nice sailing and some very exciting matches, the final ones among them.

Check for the photos, results and a full report in a day or two. We thank all the sailors and the umpires for a great weekend and wish you all many more succesful days on the sea!

Entry List - MIPC Match Race Cup 2010

It's less than a month to the start of the MIPC Match Race Cup 2010 in Marina Izola, Slovenia. The Skipper lineup is completed with 12 entries from 6 countrys (Australia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Croatia and Slovenia).

The entry list includes a big group of young match racing teams. Leading the young teams are 68th on ISAF Ranking the Australians (Freshie Racing Team) with skipper Peter Nicholas. From Germany we have another young team the NRV Match Race Team with Felix Oehme behind the helm. Atalanti Team coming from Greece are the last entry with Stratis Andreadis. We also have 2 entries from Italy and Croatia that are hoping for a great performance on the J-24 boats.

The Slovenian entries include National Champion of Slovenia Jon Brecelj with HI3 Sailing Team, 3rd place at nationals from the organizing club JK MIPC Dejan Presen with Lumba Match Race Team and 4th place at nationals Bojan Rajar. The highest ranked skipper and probably the favourite for the overall victory is the local sailor Jure Orel currently 34th on ISAF Ranking.
